Mascot of all home blogs: The Maidenhair Fern

Stunning, Mysterious, Delicate, A real pain in the ass.

These are just a few words to describe the maidenhair fern, who from this day on I have identified as the mascot of home blogs everywhere! We all seem to have one, we all seem to have lost a few along the way.

So, without further delay, I bring you a few tips on the illusive Maidenhair Fern:

• Moisture is key! These guy's(er...gal's) DO NOT want to have dry feet! EVER. Evenly moist soil. Not sopping wet or desert dry.
  
• Keep them in a fairly shady room, say your bathroom or kitchen. Preferably the most humid room in the house.
• Comb the hair once a week to avoid tangles(kidding.)

No but that's really it! NEVER let these lovely ladies dry out and NEVER give them direct sunlight.

So what is it about the maidenhair fern that attracts all us home bloggers? Is it the lightness of the leaves, the translucent green that catches the eye like a cut emerald or is it the challenge?
