June 9th, 2011 Inspirations

Today I went through one of the older, low income neighborhoods in my city on the search for cool color schemes, amazing texture and tones and anything else that would catch my attention and inspire to the fullest. I am always fascinated by what people do to bring beauty and happiness into they're lives. It is inspiring to me that low income or not we all want beauty in our lives. Necessity is the mother of invention!

I love the contrast in styles, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

Prickly Pear & Palms=Perfect. Who knew?

I love the pure bolt of joy that Esperanza brings.

Quite an amazing shape, I have no clue what the shadow was coming from!
A beautiful color scheme.
Makes me want a slop sink, so useful!

  1. I love that you're covering beauty found in low income areas. No one does that! The fact is, creativity is more important than money when it comes to creating style. (Think of all the broke artists who make amazing spaces out of nothing!) And mother nature is the greatest artist of all--she gives her gifts for free to those who notice them.

  2. Perry-

A few months ago I picked up an issue of Architectural Digest, Although it's a great magazine for some I felt like anyone could put together a Picasso, an 18th century classic chair, a 60's classic modern chair, a room full of classic, expensive furniture and get amazing results. I respect the people who make something out of nothing 1000 times more. That truly takes skill, talent and a good eye.

Also, mother nature is the greatest!!!

    Thank you for your comment!
